Frequently Asked Questions
Do you take insurance for hypnotherapy or brainspotting?
These services are offered on a cash-pay basis only and are not billed through insurance. This allows for more flexibility, personalization, and deeper therapeutic work without limitations set by insurance companies.
What is the cost of a session?
Sessions are $165 for 60 minutes. Longer sessions are available by request and are prorated accordingly. I also offer discounted packages for clients who wish to commit to a series of sessions—details can be provided during your consultation.
Are package options available?
Yes! I offer cost-saving packages for both hypnotherapy and brainspotting sessions. These can be a great option if you're ready to invest in a focused period of healing or want to establish a regular rhythm of care. Reach out for current rates and options.
What is a Good Faith Estimate (GFE)?
As required by the No Surprises Act, I provide a Good Faith Estimate to all clients paying out-of-pocket. This estimate outlines the expected costs of your care so you can make informed decisions. You’ll receive this in writing before we begin services.
Do you offer individual therapy, couples counseling and family counseling? And do you take insurance for these services?
Yes, I do offer individual therapy, couples counseling and family counseling. I am only able to provide these services for those physically located in the states of Washington, Texas and Colorado. I accept insurance for these services via Headway. Click this link to my Headway profile to get more information.
Why Couples Therapy May Not Be Covered by Insurance — and Why Self-Pay Can Be a Wise Investment
Many insurance companies do not cover couples or relationship counseling unless one partner has a diagnosed mental health condition that is the primary focus of treatment. Because couples therapy often addresses relational dynamics, communication, and emotional connection rather than a specific mental health diagnosis, it may fall outside of what insurance deems "medically necessary."
While this can be frustrating, choosing to self-pay for couples therapy offers unique advantages. Private pay allows for greater flexibility, privacy, and a focus on the relationship as a whole rather than fitting treatment into the limitations of a diagnosis. It also means your care is not dictated by insurance timelines, session limits, or required disclosures on medical records.
Investing in your relationship through self-pay therapy can create a confidential, collaborative space where both partners feel empowered to grow, heal, and reconnect—on your own terms.
